Close Dartmoor Wildlife Park
Campaign to close Dartmoor Wildlife Park. We arranged for CAPS (The Captive Animals Protection Society) to spend a day filming at DWP. At any standard, this zoo is appalling. Animals have little or no enrichment, the place is filthy and rancid meat is left lying around enclosures attracting swarms of flies. This zoo should never have got its license renewed in February. Media interest in our campaign has been significant. A report was compiled and both local TV stations did a feature. The local press and radio all covered the story. Now it's time for you to act - write to the letter's page of local newspapers, phone in to radio stations and contact Mr Peter Weardon at South Hams District Council demanding to know why DWP had it's license renewed when it is clearly breaking many zoo regulations. contact tinavegan@yahoo.com for more info.

Kick Fur out of Plymouth

Fur has started to crop up in and around Plymouth. A shop in the Armada Centre is selling dream catchers made from rabbit fur and a stall in the Panier Market and Barbican Glassworks are selling fur cats made from rabbit. Get down there and complain!

South West Devon and Cornwall League Against Cruel Sports. Set up to intensify the campaign to ban bloodsports. Hunt monitoring, demos, stands. PO Box 67, Plymouth PL1 1TH
